I thanked God for blessing me with such a father. I am reminded daily of his instructions and his example,and I’m gratful that my children have benifitted from him too. God sure used him in a wonderful way. For ten years now,Daddy is singing with the heavenly host.

As a child of God looks back on how the Lord directed his life through the years, it is always amazing to see how He placed a humble “hero of faith” into that believer’s life to provide a model of faith in Christ and a source of encouragement for the journey through this life to our heavenly home. Though I’m sure he would be too humble to be regarded as such and would surely acknowledge he was a sinful human being redeemed only by the grace of God in the blood of Christ, your grandpa could be numbered among the Lord’s “heroes of faith” for you and your family, as the Lord has done for his people since the earliest days of the Church. For that, I give thanks with you as you remember your dear grandpa. Thanks again for the post and God bless!
